Why You Should Check Tire Pressures Regularly

Most people rely on there cars, all they think to do is to put gas in and off they go. Its until something goes wrong that they get the car checked out properly. Tire Pressures is just one thing that should be checked regularly. Apart from you will save on gas, it can save you life.

Most tires have the air pressure amounts on them, for the ones that don't try looking up the tire brand. When you google the tire brand eg Firestone. Most sites will tell you how much air should be in the tire.

If a tire has too much air it will wear out the center of the tire quicker. If the tire dosen't have enough air, it wears on the outside (the shoulders)of the tire. And you will use more gas.

Tire guages cost between $10 to $50.

The 2 Things That Should Always Be Kept In A Car

Cars come with the essentials a spare tire, a jack and a wheel brace. There are 2 other things that we should always keep in our car.

1. A Emergency Hammer: Some car security systems are great for anti theft, but are not user friendly. I know of a friend who was locked in her car without the keys. (luckily her husband who had the keys was close by and could let her out). Also if your car doors are locked and you have an accident you may have to smash your way out.

2. A Jump Starter: If you find yourself stranded somewhere because your battery has gone flat you can get your car going in a matter of minutes, if you carry a jump starter in your car. When buying a jumper starter make sure it can start your car without the use of another vehicle and it comes with a bright light so you can see what you are doing.

I think everyone from young teens to adults should know how to change tires, jump start there own car and be shown what to do if they ever found themselves in a situation, where they had to smash there way out of the car.
